About the Conference

The India-Africa Hydrocarbons conference was conceptualized with the objective to foster bilateral trade relations in the hydrocarbon sector, understand policy and regulatory frameworks and offer opportunities for investment in upstream and downstream sector of the two regions.

Over the last two editions, it has played an important role in creating a better understanding of the capabilities of India and Africa in the field of oil and gas. It has offered immense opportunities to the stakeholders in the hydrocarbon sector to interact and discuss potential tie-ups in the form of equity investments, project management, joint ventures, technology transfer, upgradation of oil and gas infrastructure facilities, development and management of technical skills and human resources and supply of equipment and consultancy services.

The Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, Government of India, in association with Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FICCI) is organizing the 3 India-Africa Hydrocarbons Conference on December 09 & 10, 2011 at New Delhi, India. The third India-Africa Hydrocarbons Conference aims to develop strategies that further enhance mutually beneficial trade & investment and understand the opportunities and challenges being faced by the two regions in exploration and utilization of hydrocarbon resources.
